5 more races completed in the DYC Short Course regatta
In warm conditions, sailors took to the water for the third round of the Docklands Yacht Club Short Club regatta.
A further 5 races were conducted with results added to the previous results from the Australia Day Short Course regatta series. A total of 19 races have now been conducted.
With several sailors not taking part in this round, and some sailors changing into different divisions, the results for the classes are quite varied.
With no 2.3 competitors this round, Louis Paterson remains on top of the 2.3 leaderboard. Jumping into a 303 today, he and the other sailors were unable to catch Beck West, who took out all 5 races.
It was closer in the Liberty fleet, with Russell and Shauna Phillips engaging in some close racing which saw Russell win 3 races, and Shauna the first and last races of the day. Ben Meade moved from a 2.3 to sail in a Liberty for the first time in this round.
The next leg of the Short Course racing is scheduled for Sunday April 3rd. Interested sailors can still register to compete in that event, as well as the final regatta date on May 15th. More details are available here.
